New York Life representative Tim Moran joined the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce Thursday afternoon, December 18, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Clang Financial offices on South D Street in Broken Bow.
Moran has been affiliated with New York Life for nearly two years, offering a variety of products including life insurance, investment, and employee benefits. As a registered representative of New York Life, the offices of Clang Financial provide a full range of money management services.
It was his close relationship with James Clang that brought Moran into the financial services world. Moran’s record includes early labor as a Kentucky tobacco farmer and years as a minister in southwest Kansas and in Broken Bow. Moran notes that his time as a farmer helps him understand the trials of an agricultural producer.
“I understand the struggles, and I know what it takes to make it,” said Moran, “so it helps me to have a kind of insight on how to how to educate clients and how to steer them toward things that would be beneficial for their operation. I know how much it takes and I want to just come along and partner with them if I can help them to be more profitable or to just be to be able to just be able to hand off what they’ve built to the next generation. We try to have that conversation, especially with our older clients, as they’re preparing to leave, to make sure that they have a clean hand-off to the next generation.”
Looking forward, Moran also expects to take a broader leadership role within the Clang Financial offices, as the the financial advisors expand into the Kearney area.
