THEDFORD – Seth Scranton, a 2022 graduate of Thedford received the BRAN 40.2 Scholarship last fall which helped him in his first year of college pursuing ranch management.
BRAN (Bike Ride Across Nebraska) overnighted in Thedford on June 6, 2022. Seth, Bronc, and Cinch Reiser helped unpack the truck that carried the tents and luggage for over 500 riders on a hot June day.
Normally, BRAN awards a graduating senior the $1500 scholarship but the local committee sent a letter requesting flexibility with the scholarship. BRAN was to come through and overnight in 2021 but was stopped due to COVID, otherwise, Scranton could have received his scholarship last year.
