COMSTOCK – From the day after Thanksgiving to January 1, 2024, Comstock transforms into Comstock Christmas City.

Henry Nuxol decorated his house the day after Thanksgiving in 2014, and the next night an inflatable Santa and Reindeer showed up anonymously. Over the next 30 days, $3,000 of decorations showed up anonymously and all got put up on display.

Comstock now has 20  connecting blocks of Christmas displays, 40 scenes, 12 buildings, 20 trees, 50 Santas, a mile of running lights and extension cords, 1,000 tent stakes, and over 400 inflatables.

New for the 2023 Comstock Christmas City is a “Need a bike, take one. Got an extra, leave one” program that has been started for children who need or want one at no cost.

The Saddle Up Saloon is offering free hot chocolate and cider from 6:00-10:00 p.m. every night to promote the new and upcoming business.

There is no cost to view Comstocks Christmas City, and only takes an hour to walk through or a 30-minute drive,  families are invited to appreciate all the hard work that goes into transforming Comstock into the Comstock Christmas City.
