Sewer projects, lease agreement among Broken Bow City Council business Tuesday night

Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight (April 8) starting at 6 PM at the Broken Bow Municipal Building on South 10th Avenue.

In new business, council will consider two items regarding the sanitary sewer extension from 15th to Webster. A change order with JEO Consoluting Group would delete a removal and replacement fire hydrant bid item for a net change of -$2,815.29, while also extending the substantial completion date to April 15. Council will also consider approving a payment just short of $160,000 to Myers construction for work completed on the project through March 25 and also signing the certificate of substantial completion.

Council will also consider a resolution regarding certificates of deposits (CDs) and interest bearing accounts tonight. More specifically, if approved, City Administrator David Schmidt would be authorized to make any changes necessary to CDs or similar interest bearing accounts to achieve the best financial opportunities available for the city.

A lease agreement between the city and Community First National Bank for a chest compression system, ventilator system, and five wireless radios and related equipment will also be up for consideration. The lease, if approved, would amount to just over $50,000.
