Several Area Students Make UNMC’s Dean’s List

OMAHA – The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its fall 2022 dean’s list for students enrolled in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and the allied health professions, which includes several students from Custer County and the KCNI/KBBN listening area.

Jessica Spanel of Anselmo and Cora Svoboda of Ord are the area’s honorees in UNMC’s College of Pharmacy, and in the College of Nursing, Morgan Miller and Lindsay Scanlan, both of Minden, made the dean’s list. Broken Bow’s Samuel Schendt made the dean’s list in UNMC’s College of Pharmacy.

In the radiography program, Laney Stunkel of Ansley and Kesha DeGroff of Broken Bow made the list, as did Cailyn Jameson of Thedford in the College of Dentistry.

To qualify for the dean’s list, nursing and allied health students must be enrolled for 12 or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above. To qualify for the pharmacy dean’s list, students must place in the top 20 percent of their class and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Dental students must be in the top 10 percent of their class for the semester.
