NORTH PLATTE – A total of 406 area high school seniors will receive honor cords from Mid-Plains Community College to wear at their graduation ceremonies this spring.
Of those 400-plus students, the KCNI/KBBN listening area can claim 75 across 12 regional schools. Just over a third of those came from Broken Bow; the school had 27 honor cord recipients. Sargent produced 12, and Arnold and Callaway 7 apiece. Stapleton and Anselmo-Merna had 6 honorees each, while Mullen had 2. Sandhills had 4, and Thedford, Litchfield, Gothenburg, and Cozad each had 1 honor cord recipient.
MPCC presents the cords to students who have taken the initiative to pursue college credit while still in high school. To earn a cord, a student must have successfully completed 12 or more credit hours through Mid-Plains. A full list of honorees is below, listed alphabetically by school.
