Scholarship Deadlines Extended for the Custer County Foundation

DEADLINE EXTENDED DON DAVIS EARLY ENTRY ACCESS AND BROKEN BOW CLASS OF 1959 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Multiple scholarships are available for Broken Bow students enrolled in Mid-Plains Community College dual credit courses this Fall. These scholarships are available through the Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarship and the Broken Bow Class of 1959 Educational Scholarship funds administered by the Custer County Foundation.

The deadline to apply has been extended to May 27th. The application is available online. To apply please go to CusterCountyFoundation.org and select Scholarships, Scholarships Available, then select Dual Credit HS Students.

Broken Bow High School students currently enrolled in the Early Entry Access Program at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Students eligible to receive the ACE Scholarship should only apply if the ACE Scholarship is not paying for all credit hours.

To qualify for the ACE scholarship the student or student’s family must be approved to participate in one of the federal need-based government programs listed below, have experienced an extreme hardship that affects family income, or be participating in a designated Career Education program as established by the Nebraska Department of Education.

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Special Supplemental Assistance Program (WIC)

The Custer County Foundation is dedicated to supporting students and education. The Foundation has established a long tradition of administering and providing scholarships to area students. These scholarships are made available through the generosity of individuals and businesses.
