ANSLEY, Neb.— A Sargent man has been transported to the hospital following a rollover accident north of Ansley on Highway 183.
Custer County Communications received a call about a one vehicle accident in the 7 AM hour on Monday morning. Ansley Fire and Rescue was on the scene within minutes. When Custer County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on scene, it was found that Cameron Brown, age 55 of Sargent, had been taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney after the Freightliner truck he was driving left the road and rolled.
An accident investigation determined that the truck, driven by Brown and owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), was traveling southbound on Highway 183 when it left the road to the right. The vehicle then lost control, tripped, and overturned nearly three times before coming to rest on its driver side.
The investigation also brought forth that Brown was up and walking after the accident.
Hunter’s Towing towed the vehicle from the scene.
