BROKEN BOW, NE – Ronald Countee, age 69 of Sargent, appeared in Custer County Court Monday afternoon for arraignment on charges of 1st degree sexual assault (Class II felony) and abuse of a vulnerable adult (Class IIIA felony).
After being advised of the nature of the charges, possible penalties, and his rights, Countee was appointed a public defender. Bond was set at ten percent of $50,000 in addition to a no contact order with the victim in the case. Countee is in custody of the Custer County Sheriff after being booked on Saturday, May 4.
A preliminary hearing was set for June 3 at 3:00 pm.
