Sandhills Task Force seeking ranch internship applications

The Sandhills Task Force is now accepting applications for their 2025 Sandhills Ranch Internship Program, which allows interns to explore agriculture through hands-on experiences in ranching, livestock production, and rangeland management. The program aims to help acquire both valuable skills and meaningful relationships.

Partnering with ranchers throughout the sandhills, the paid three month long summer internship program includes room and board as well as additional paid educational opportunities.

Applications are welcomed from all individuals who are 19 or older by January 15th, 2025 at SandhillsTaskForce.org/ranch-internship.

Candidates who are passionate about agriculture, have a strong interest in ranching and range management, and are eager to learn are encouraged to apply. The internship will involve various components of on-the-job experience, mentorship, and training tailored to the intern’s education, knowledge, and interests.

Sandhills Task Force serves as a facilitator in matching interns with ranchers while supporting the internship relationship in several ways, but ultimately, the internship is a relationship between the intern and the host ranch. The Nebraska Environmental Trust and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation provide partial funding.
