Sandhills Fire Relief Fund Accepting Donations, Holding Silent Auction

THEDFORD – Those interested in helping provide relief for the damages inflicted by the Bovee Fire will have two ways to do so: one through the Custer County Foundation, and another in Thedford proper.

The Custer County Foundation is currently accepting monetary donations for the Sandhills Fire Relief Fund; this effort will remain ongoing. Checks are customary, and should be made out to the Custer County Foundation, and mailed to the foundation’s office at 403 South 9th Street in Broken Bow. Checks should include “Sandhills Fire Relief Fund.”

For supporters looking to make donations in a more social setting, Sandhills Fire Relief will be hosting a live silent auction on November 11. The event will start at 5 p.m. and will be held at the Thomas County Fairgrounds east of Thedford. There will also be live music when the auction concludes, as well as food provided by Slow Poke BBQ from Oconto.

Questions should be directed to Drs. Scott Reynolds or McKenzie Beals at the Broken Bow Animal Hospital at 308-872-5281, or by visiting the Sandhills Fire Relief Facebook page.
