Bret M. Samuelson, age 42 of Arnold, appeared for his arraignment in Custer County District Court on Thursday, July 23rd. Samuelson pleaded not guilty to one count of child abuse, intentionally causing injury, a Class II felony. The charge stems from an incident in July of 2025. Judge Karin Noakes set a jury trial in the case for October 19th with a pretrial hearing scheduled for September 24th.
