Ryan Anderson, owner of The Garden Center in Broken Bow, was recognized as a State Businessperson of the Year at this past weekend’s awards program at the FBLA State Leadership Conference.
Anderson was nominated locally by the Broken Bow FBLA chapter and was one of seven recipients at the state level.
The award recognizes outstanding businesspersons from the private business sector throughout Nebraska who have contributed to the success of FBLA at the local level.
Anderson said he has enjoyed helping the local chapter during their wreath sales fundraiser in the fall with an avenue he has available to him at The Garden Center.
“We kind of talked about how much money the kids were making, or profiting, from that,” said Anderson. “I felt that I could kind of help out and help them earn a little bit more money per wreath than what they were currently doing.”
