Jeffrey B. Plumb, age 61 of Yucca Valley, California, appeared in Custer County District Court on Thursday, January 29th for a plea entry. In August of 2025, Plumb was charged with two counts— possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). The State announced that a plea agreement had been reached with the defendant. In exchange for dismissal of the second count, Plumb pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine). Judge Karin Noakes found the defendant guilty of that charge and ordered a presentence investigation, including a chemical dependency evaluation. Sentencing for Plumb was set for March 5th at 10:00 a.m. The defendant was remanded back to the custody of the Custer County Sheriff.
