George A. Peterson, age 38 of Broken Bow, was sentenced in Custer County District Court on Thursday, May 28th. A plea agreement had been reached earlier in the case and Peterson pleaded no contest on March 19th to a charge of 3rd degree domestic assault, a Class IIIA felony. He was found guilty at that time and a presentence investigation was ordered. After reviewing the completed presentence investigation and hearing from the State and defense attorney Brian Davis, Judge Karin Noakes sentenced Peterson to four years probation. As part of the terms and conditions of his probation, Judge Noakes included the defendant’s participation in a domestic violence intervention program, followed by an anger management course. The defendant’s bond was released and applied toward costs and fees.
