CUSTER COUNTY – One case progressed in County Court on Monday, January 29.
David L. Barnhill, age 38 of Broken Bow, was scheduled for his first appearance on alleged charges of four counts. Count I, resisting arrest, a second offense a class IIIA felony which holds a maximum of three years imprisonment and 18 months post-release supervision or a $10,000 fine or both. Count II, DUI first offense a class W Misdemeanor which carries a maximum of 60 days imprisonment, six-month license revocation, and a $500 fine. Count III, obstructing a peace officer, a class I misdemeanor, which carries a maximum sentence of one-year imprisonment and a $1,000 fine, and count IV, careless driving an infraction.
Barnhill’s case is set for a preliminary hearing on February 26 at 3:00 p.m. in the Custer County Court.
