As a result of a partnership between Crossroads Mission Avenue, Food Bank for the Heartland, and the USDA, a no-cost mobile food pantry is coming to the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow.
Saturday morning (August 16) starting at 9 AM, residents of the area are invited to arrive to receive food at no cost. The program delivers fresh and shelf-stable food to communities with a high need but limited food resources.
According to the Food Bank for the Heartland website, in the 2024 fiscal year, 383 mobile pantry events were hosted in 40 counties, distributing nearly 2.7 million meals and helping nearly 64,000 households in the Heartland.
