NEBRASKAland Days Events Coming Up

North Platte hosts its 62nd NEBRASKAland Days, featuring the Buffalo Bill Rodeo starting Wednesday, June 17.

NEBRASKAland Days events started on Friday, June 12 and will continue until Saturday, June 27. On Tuesday, June 16, the Melvin, Swanson, Halligan Steer Wrestling Memorial starts at 10 a.m. Then, at 1 p.m., is the NEBRASKAland Days Buffalo Bill Rodeo Golf Classic. The Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska Coronation concludes the day at 6 p.m. 

The first night of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo is Wednesday, June 17, starting at 7:30 p.m. with gates open at 5:30 p.m. Also on Wednesday is the kids’ costume parade, the Miss Rodeo Nebraska Coronation, and the Pavilion Party featuring Tommy O’Keeffe. 

Thursday includes the second night of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo, along with the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast that morning, Golden Games at 9 a.m., and the BBQ pork sandwich feed at 4:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge. 

Friday, June 19, starts with a flapjack feed at 7:30 a.m. After that is the antique car show at 9 a.m., the money scramble, sand castle building, and the antique car parade at noon. Friday evening hosts the Buffalo Bill Rodeo and the Pavilion Party featuring the Dylan Bloom Band. 

Saturday, June 20, includes the NEBRASKAland Days Parade starting at 1 p.m., followed by the Post Parade Party at 3 p.m. at Platte Bar. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the Buffalo Bill Rodeo, and the Pavilion Party starts at 10 p.m.

Sunday, June 21, has Field Mass at 8 a.m., and Monday has family game night at 6 p.m. 

Tuesday, June 23, kicks off with the kids’ fun festival. Then downtown North Platte hosts the Prime Rib Feed starting at 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday, enjoy the beer garden and food court at the Wild West Arena along with Cowboy Kickball. 

The Summer Jam Concert Series starts Friday, June 26, with music from Treaty Oak Revival and special guests 49 Winchester and The Wilder Blue. 

Finally, to conclude the celebration is the second Summer Jam Concert with music from Zach Top, Diamond Rio, and Spencer Hatcher. 

Bob Lantis, NEBRASKAland Days Executive Director, says everyone will be able to enjoy it.

“It’s going to be a show for all ages. That’s going to be a great night,” stated Lantis.
