State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg will be in Broken Bow on Tuesday evening as part of a community tour. Hosted by the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, Spellerberg will give a brief presentation on key initiatives and programs of interest to Nebraskans.
Topics Spellerberg is planning on addressing include:
- The expansion of Nebraska’s education savings plan (NEST 529) to include skills based training and credential programs (LB 748)
- The Enable Savings Plan, a tax advantaged savings program that serves those with disabilities
- StateSpending.Nebraska.gov, which tracks state government spending and revenue sources
- Nebraska’s unclaimed property division, which returned nearly $20 million last year
- First Time Homebuyer Savings Account Act (LB 803)
Tuesday’s presentation starts at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, August 11th at the Broken Bow Public Library.
