6th grade student tellers along with students who participated in the cash box and Cash the Eagle.

CALLAWAY – Nebraska State Bank has partnered with Broken Bow Northpark Elementary for the “Indians Savings Bank, Merna School for the “Coyotes Savings Bank” and now Callaway School for the “Bears Savings Bank”.

Cash the Eagle

The tellers consist of 6th-grade students who will help the other students with their accounts throughout the year. The tellers include Cruz Mason, Lauren Reiff, Brooke Fedderson, Amelia Pandorf, Georgia Gutherie, and Lane Hogg. Students will be able to start utilizing the “Bear Savings Bank” on Friday morning and can do so every other Friday.

Following the introduction of the student tellers, names were drawn for students who were going to get to try to grab some cash to place into their account from the cash cube.

This program is to provide elementary students the opportunities to not only learn about savings and how financial institutions operate but to also become savers themselves.
