Nebraska Fall Turkey Permits available August 12

Hunters may begin purchasing 2024 Nebraska fall turkey permits at 1 p.m. on August 12.

All turkey hunters in Nebraska must possess a turkey permit to hunt turkeys in Nebraska. Resident turkey permits are unlimited in quantity and they cost $30.

While these permits are still valid statewide, hunters are reminded of the significant changes that began in the 2023 fall season. Each hunter may only have one fall permit. The fall bag limit allows the take of one turkey of either sex with a shotgun or archery equipment. All turkey harvests must be reported via Telecheck. The fall turkey season is October 1 to November 30.

Another change, that was implemented in 2024, is the price of these permits. For nonresident turkey permits, including issuing fee, has increased from $128 to $143. The nonresident landowner permit cost rose from $65.50 to $73. All youth turkey permits remain $8.
