NORTH PLATTE – According to a statement released by the Nebraska Department of Transportation, roadwork will begin July 31 in Gothenburg on Highways US-30 from reference post 212+76 to reference post 213+95, weather permitting.
Ten Point Construction Company, Inc. of Denison, Iowa is the contractor for the project. Work will include concrete pavement repair and sealing. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures and flaggers.
An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect. The project’s anticipated completion date is October of this year.
The purpose of the project, according to the Department of Transportation, is to “preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.”
The Nebraska Department of Transportation reminds motorists to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down while driving a motor vehicle.
