Multispecies Permit Applications to Open January 2

CUSTER COUNTY – Applications for multispecies Super Tag and Combo lottery permits will be accepted by the Game and Parks Commission beginning January 2 of the coming year, according to a statement released by Game and Parks.

The Super Tag permit will be valid for one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys, though only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring.

One permit will be authorized exclusively for residents, and another authorized for residents or nonresidents.

Interested Nebraska-based hunters may apply for the residents-only permit once per year for $25, while hunters may apply for the resident/nonresident permit multiple times per year for $10 per application.

The Combo permit will be valid for one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys. As with the Super Tag permit, only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring. One permit will be authorized for residents, and another for nonresidents. Qualifying hunters may apply multiple times per year at $10 per application.

Both permits will be valid for 2023 and 2024 in open season with appropriate weapons, and winners of these permits will require a Habitat Stamp.

Applications will begin to be reviewed at 1 p.m. on January 2, and must be received by Game and Parks by 5 p.m. on July 7.
