Custer County Court was held on Monday, May 5th, with Judge Tami Schendt presiding.
Jeffrey L. Kottwitz, age 53 of Arnold, made his first appearance. He is charged with driving with a revoked license due to a DUI, a Class IV felony; no proof of insurance, a Class II misdemeanor; and possession of an open alcoholic container, an infraction. A public defender was appointed and a preliminary hearing was set for May 19th. Bond was continued.
A bench warrant was issued for Jonathan R. Beattie, age 35, after he failed to appear in court on felony charges of theft and being a habitual criminal.
Three other felony criminal cases on Monday’s docket were continued, while another was reduced to a misdemeanor.
