Custer County Court was in session on Monday, March 23rd with Judge Tami Schendt.
Johnnie R. Mason, age 51 of Loup City, was in court for an arraignment. Mason faces a one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, as well as one count of tampering with evidence. Both counts are Class IV felonies. Matt Furrow was appointed as public defender in the case. A preliminary hearing for the defendant will be held on April 6, 2026 and bond was set at $5,000 with 10% privilege.
Carsen W. Wilson, age 30 of Hastings, appeared for a preliminary hearing. Wilson is charged with escape, a Class IV felony. A continuance was requested and granted with a status hearing set for April 20th.
