THEDFORD – The Natural Resources Commission will be holding caucuses at the beginning of 2023 for Natural Resource Directors for each of the commission’s seven river basins, including the Loup Basin.
The purpose of the caucuses is for the NRD directors in each basin to elect a resident in their respective basins to serve a four-year term as representative members of the Nebraska Natural Resources Commission. Any adult residing in the basin is eligible to be nominated and elected by an NRD Director.
The Loup Basin’s caucus is scheduled for Monday, January 9, 2023, at 1 p.m. CST at the Upper Loup NRD, 39252 NE Highway 2 in Thedford. Every meeting is open to the public for viewing. A full list of meetings is below. A continuously-updated schedule of meetings can be found here.
