Local Students Perform at Lied Center for All-State Music Ensembles

Seven hundred and forty-seven Students from 124 Nebraska Schools took part in performances on November 22 in Lincoln for the 2025 Nebraska All-State Ensembles. Among them were outstanding musicians from around the local area.

Performing in the All State Chorus was Alto Cainan March of Ansley Public Schools.

Broken Bow sent elementary students Kateri McCaslin, Connor Schmidt, Kamden Johnk and Blayke Gibbons to perform in the NMEA Children’s Choir.

Broken Bow’s North Park Elementary Music Teacher Angie Foss stated, “They were amazing! They represented the school with pride and it was such an honor to perform at the Lied!“

The 2025 Nebraska All-State Ensemble groups met November 20-22 on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Nationally recognized conductors held rehearsals with students through the event, culminating in the November 22 performance at the Lied Performing Arts Center.

The Nebraska All-State performers represent collaboration and creativity in its highest musical form. The high school ensembles consisted of a concert band, mixed chorus, jazz band, and orchestra. Over 2,000 eligible students were chosen by their high school directors to audition and compete against top students for a spot in these state honor ensembles.
