Nebraska FBLA members took home top prizes at Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC) earlier this month in San Antonio. Local FBLA members were contributors to Nebraska’s success at the national level.

In middle school awards, Blake Slocum of Litchfield placed sixth in Exploring Leadership. Braxton Fletcher, also from Litchfield, placed 8th nationally in Exploring FBLA.

For high school awards, the Broken Bow team of Keeley Moninger, Tristan Taylor, and Tylee Fenton came in tenth in Introduction to Business Presentation.

Broken Bow and Sargent were both recognized at NLC as Champion Chapters at the gold award level. James Fletcher of Litchfield Public School was recognized as National Mountain Plains Region Vice President.

Nebraska contributed 451 members, advisers, and guests to the gathering of more than 13,400 students from nearly 2,100 schools in 47 states, territories, and Canada. In addition to competition in business related events, students engaged in learning workshops and met with representatives from more than 25 colleges, universities, and employers.
