Litchfield Rural Fire District #6 Receives $10,000 Grant Toward Advanced LifePakGear

(KEARNEY, NEB.) – Litchfield Rural Fire District #6 received a $10,000 grant to purchase a LIFEPAK 35 monitor and defibrillator. The grant is provided through FCSAmerica’s Working Here Fund.

The Working Here Fund grant will help the Litchfield Rural Fire District #6 purchase a LIFEPAK 35 monitor and defibrillator. This device would replace two outdated pieces of equipment. The new device will offer more accurate methods to monitor patients and transmit results to hospitals while en-route to ensure everyone is prepared when the patient arrives.

“A LIFEPAK 35 will allow of the Litchfield EMS to provide better care and better monitoring of patients,” said Alyssa Reynolds, Litchfield ambulance captain. “With a 30+ mile transport distance to the nearest hospital, we want to be able to provide our patients with the best care possible.”
