Library has special night for Dads and Daughters

The Broken Bow Library has a special night for Dads and Daughters on Friday, February 7th from 6-9pm.

This will be the 13th annual Daddy Daughter Date Night hosted by the library, and library director Megan Svoboda says the event was created to be a fundraiser for library programs and create special memories for participants.

“Dad figures and their daughters, and it’s for ages 4 and up. The tickets are $30 per couple, and then it’s $10 for each additional daughter. We have a live DJ that plays music and then we have a photo booth, and of course snacks and games and crafts and just a lot of fun and dancing and raffles, we have some small raffles that they can try to win.”

Svoboda says the money raised from the event helps fund weekly story times, crafts for all ages, book clubs, and summer reading programs.

Other February events at the Broken Bow library include a silent book club on the 6th from 6-7pm, bring your own craft night on the 13th from 5:00-6:30pm, a teen game night on the 18th from 5:30-6:30pm, tots and toys story time each Monday at 10am, lapsit story time on Friday the 14th, 21st and 28th at 10am, plus family music bingo night on the 28th starting at 5pm.

A reminder, the library will be closed on Saturday, February 15th and Monday, February 17th for Presidents Day.
