KCNI/KBBN honored with three Eric Sevareid Awards by MBJA

KCNI/KBBN and SandhillsExpress.com received three Eric Sevareid Awards from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association (MBJA) during the Midwest Journalism Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Eric Sevareid Awards are named for the North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television.

Each year, awards are presented to news operations and journalists working in small, medium and large markets in the six-state MBJA region on radio, television, and online. The panel of judges for the awards is made up of journalists and educators who live outside of Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Iowa, and Nebraska to help ensure impartiality.

Honors recognize work that appeared in 2024.
