Justin D. Slagle, age 37 of Sargent, appeared in Custer County District Court on Thursday, March 26th, for arraignment in two cases.
In the first case that allegedly occurred on November 22, 2025, Slagle is charged with theft by taking of less than $500—3rd offense, a Class IV felony; terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony; and criminal mischief involving damages of less than $500, a Class III misdemeanor.
The second case involves charges that allegedly happened on February 11, 2026. In that case, Slagle is charged with two separate counts of terroristic threats, both Class IIIA felonies; one count of domestic assault-3rd degree, a Class I misdemeanor; and a count of willful reckless driving, a Class III misdemeanor.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to all charges. A jury trial for each case was set for June 15th. Defense attorney, Vikki Stamm, requested a bond review as Slagle is currently in custody on a $50,000 bond with 10% privilege. Stamm asked Judge Noakes to consider a personal recognizance bond instead. Stating that the cases involved more than one serious event, Judge Noakes denied the request and Slagle was remanded into the custody of the Custer County Sheriff.
