Junkers Will Be Out in Droves this Weekend

Nebraska’s 22nd annual Junk Jaunt is happening this weekend starting Friday, September 26, through Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Advertised as the largest garage sale in the state of Nebraska, Junk Jaunt is scheduled for the last full weekend in September, rain or shine. Sales large and small draw hunters of bargains, collectibles and oddities from all over the country and beyond.

Local drivers are advised to be aware that there will be more cars on the road this weekend, with many drivers unfamiliar with the area. Bargain hunters are known to slow, stop, turn and swerve at any moment, so extra situational awareness is critical if you will be on the roads with them.

But the weekend is not all dodging out-of-towners. For those braving the roads, this is an amazing opportunity to get out and experience our great Nebraska countryside, and perhaps visit an area community that you haven’t been to in a while, all while looking to find the perfect item to fill that empty spot on your bookshelf or in your shop.

In addition, KCNI/KBBN will be broadcasting live from the Custer County Fairgrounds throughout the morning. Junkers can catch updates, interviews, and weather reports for their shopping day on both stations during the Get Up and Go Breakfast Show, and on KBBN 95.3 FM until 1:00 PM.

Hunters of the unusual in Central Nebraska can find more maps, a shoppers guide, lodging information and more for this weekend’s Junk Jaunt online on JunkJaunt.com.
