The Nebraska Department of Transportation has announced that a milling and asphalt overlay project will begin on Highway 183 near Sargent beginning on June 2, weather permitting.
Paulsen’s Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for the project, which will stretch from near mile marker 115 south of Sargent to near marker 122 north of town..
During the project, a 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Completion of the work is anticipated to take less than a month.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
