GRAND ISLAND – The 80th Harvest of Harmony Parade, Pageant, and Field Competition floated its way through Grand Island this past weekend, drawing as it always does an immense crowd from all corners of the state.
This year’s theme was “Marching Through the Decades,” in which high school bands throughout Nebraska, as well as bands from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the University of Nebraska-Kearney, played songs that spanned the the years since the parade’s inception in 1938.
Included in the celebration were local marching bands: Broken Bow High School, Arcadia High School, SEM High School, and South Loup High School. Pictures of the marches are below. Photos by Dean Ringlein.
