Callaway Cowboy Poet Natalie G’Schwind will be performing at a Coffee and Dessert Bar Fundraiser Sunday afternoon, February 8.
Cookies, cake and coffee will be served at the Callaway Senior Center from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. G’Schwind will perform a reading of her poetry starting at 3:00. A free will donation will be accepted at the event.

G’Schwind was recently invited by Nebraska State Poet Jewel Rodgers to attend the Poetry International Festival in early June, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
According to Donnis Hueftle-Bullock, who is helping organize the fundraiser, while there, G’Schwind will have the opportunity to showcase an Old West lifestyle that will surely be unfamiliar to many listeners, preserved through the tradition of cowboy poetry.
While Rodgers is also helping raise funds for G’Schwind’s trip to Rotterdam, supporting the reading and desserts at the Callaway Senior Center is a way for G’Schwind’s local community to help make her trip a full experience.
