KCNI/KBBN’s Grant Winterer recognized by Nebraska Broadcaster’s Association

BROKEN BOW – KCNI/KBBN’s very own Grant Winterer won numerous awards for his coverage of central Nebraska at the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Pinnacle Awards Banquet Wednesday, August 9.

Grant is the News Director and Public Affairs coordinator at the station and has received awards for his coverage of the Halsey Wildfires and the Sargent School Board.

Grant, who has been at the station a little over a year, has covered numerous stories, court proceedings, and ribbon cuttings, as well as conducting interviews for Public Affairs, and he has even done voice work and announcing.

The Nebraska Broadcasters Association competition was designed to encourage and recognize the highest level of reporting in the state of Nebraska. The banquet was held at Embassy Suites in La Vista.

Here at the station we are very proud of the awards Grant brought home just in time for the Sandhills Open Road Challenge.
