The Gothenburg speech team was among teams competing in the opening day of state speech competition at Kearney High School on Wednesday. The Swede speech team was able to bring home third place as a team, while also seeing state champions crowned in two events.
Logan Feather and Jack Aden took first place and were crowned as state champions in duet acting.
Carson Reiman received a state champion medal for his speech in extemporaneous speaking.
Classes C1 and C2 have their state competition through the day on Thursday, March 27. Classes D1 and D2 close out 2025 competition on Friday, March 28.
