Give 4 Custer County Raises $165,030

GIVE 4 CUSTER COUNTY was a fundraising campaign to grow philanthropy and inspire communities to come together to support the work of nonprofits in Custer County. Twenty-four nonprofit organizations signed up to participate and held their own fundraisers. The participating nonprofits and donors really came together and raised an impressive amount of money in such a short time. Donations were accepted from June 15th through July 15th.

“We as a board were excited to do Give 4 Custer County as a way to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and to give back to Custer County! This was a great opportunity to celebrate all that the Foundation has been able to do in these past 30 years thanks to the generosity of so many! We had no idea how well this would be received, but it was an exciting day on July 15th to see the total that was raised! I’m proud of all the nonprofits that were a part of Give 4 Custer County and just want to thank all those who generously gave!” said Alicia Hermsmeyer, Custer County Foundation Board President.

Give 4 Custer County will provide $47,500 in matching funds and $2,500 in incentive prizes to the participating nonprofits. The match pool will be distributed proportionately to participating nonprofits based upon the total amount raised by each organization. The proportional share will be based on the total dollars raised by the individual participating organization in relation to total dollars raised by all participating organizations, these totals are still being finalized.

A special thanks to Becton Dickinson for sponsoring the incentive prizes and part of the match pool. CCF would also like to thank Arrow Seed, Palmer Monument Co., Sargent Irrigation & Drilling, and Thomas Livestock Co. for helping sponsor part of the match pool. The Custer County Foundation contributed $30,000 to the match pool.

The Custer County Foundation will celebrate their 30th Anniversary and the success of Give 4 Custer County on August 12th at the Broken Bow City Square from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This event is open to the public.
