BROKEN BOW- A gas leak drew response from responders late Sunday morning at the DMV office in Broken Bow.
KCNI/KBBN News observed Custer County Sheriff’s vehicles as well as vehicles from Black Hills Energy on the scene. Road crossings on South 11th Avenue just off Highway 2, at the corner of South D Street and South 10th, and at the corner of South 11th and South D Street were blocked off by law enforcement.
Representatives from Black Hills Energy confirmed to KCNI/KBBN that employees were able to investigate a leak at the DMV building and make the situation safe in the early afternoon Sunday. They also reminded anyone that thinks they smell gas to call 911 immediately so that situations such as this one can be handled safely and effectively.
