BROKEN BOW – The Gary’s Super Foods grocery store in Broken Bow has permanently closed.
A post to the store’s Facebook page on July 19 stated that the store would be closed that day for repairs and that updates would be posted. A sign has been placed on the windows of the store since, stating that it is permanently closed. No further updates had been posted to the store’s page as of early Tuesday evening.
Gary’s Super Foods began operation in Broken Bow shortly after the purchase of Schmick’s Market in May of 2019. Shortly after, the McCook location of Schmick’s Market was also purchased by Gary’s Super Foods.
Attempts by KCNI/KBBN to reach the Broken Bow location went unanswered. Owner Gary Suhr was not immediately available for comment, but a staff member at the 4th Street North Platte location did confirm that the store in Broken Bow was closed.
