Cutthroat and rainbow trout will be stocked by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission to enhance fishing opportunities this fall and winter.
Stocking of trout began the week of September 11, with cutthroat and rainbow being stocked in the Northwest part of the state and will continue weekly throughout the fall.
Working with Nebraskan weather can show to be a challenge, but Game and Parks will do their best to fill every lake in Nebraska with trout.
According to Game and Parks, fishing for trout is a great way to introduce anglers of all ages to fishing. If you are just getting into fishing or are looking to purchase a fishing permit, go to outdoornebraska.gov
