Further details released from fatal crash in Broken Bow

BROKEN BOW – More details have been released about the fatal crash that took place in Broken Bow this past Saturday (October 26).

According to information from the Broken Bow Police Department, a 2007 Buick Lucerne was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on South E Street around 5:00 AM Saturday when it collided with a fully loaded 2002 Peterbilt tractor trailer cattle pot that was also traveling eastbound.

The driver of the Lucerne, Logan Eberle age 19 of Mason City, was transported to Melham Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Michael McCullar, age 53 of Oklahoma, was not injured in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing and it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The Broken Bow Police Department extended their sincere condolences to the family.
