BROKEN BOW – Small communities are wonderful at coming together to support another person or a family in their time of need. At the Vet’s Building on February 25 from 11-2:00 will be a free will donation meal and silent auction for Donna Hilkemeier.
Tom Hilkemeier passed away in November and that left Donna, his wife with a lot of medical bills and funeral expenses. Donna did not work as she was a caregiver for Tom in his battle with cancer.
Donations for auction items are being accepted and you can drop off the auction item at Custer Federal or you can call Julie Toline at (402)-677-9323, or Abby Hilkemeier at (308)870-1561. If a preferred method of donation is monetary, there is an account set up at Custer Federal State Bank. If writing a check, the check needs to be made out to the “Donna Hilkemeier Benefit Account”.
Donna asked Toline to say some words on her behalf.
“I really appreciate all the love and support during the last two years. It meant a lot to Tom that people cared so much. I cannot thank everyone enough.”
