Food Bank of the Heartland Coming Back to Broken Bow on Saturday

The Food Bank for the Heartland is making a return visit to Broken Bow on Saturday, May 14th.  The food bank will again be set up at the Berean Bible Church in Broken Bow on Saturday morning.  The food handout and delivery will once again be served in drive thru style beginning at 9 a.m.  Local organizer and contact person for Food Bank for the Heartland, Christy Trumbull, visited with KCNI/KBBN about the food bank.  She praised the efforts of the many volunteers that assist with the event.

Food Bank for the Heartland has been committed to providing emergency and supplemental food to our neighbors in Nebraska and western Iowa.  The purpose of the mobile food pantry returning to Custer County is to help support families and provide food where there is a high need but limited resources.  There are no income restrictions and the mobile pantry is available to the public free of charge.
