MASON CITY–The Food Bank for the Heartland Mobile Pantry is traveling to Mason City on Thursday, August 18 to help meet the needs of area families.
WHAT: A mobile pantry is a traveling food pantry that delivers food directly to families in need for a one-day distribution. The goal is to provide food where there is a high need but limited resources.
WHEN: Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 3 p.m. until the food is gone
WHERE: First Baptist Church 687 Prentiss St., Mason City, NE 68855
The mobile pantry format will be drive-up service with food boxed up and ready to load in vehicles. Patrons are asked to stay in their vehicles; event organizer Christie Trumbull emphasizes that this time around, the mobile pantry will have an excess of farm-fresh produce.
No documentation is needed and all are welcome! The mobile pantry is available free of charge.
