Another sign of spring and summer fun is here, as the Broken Bow Market on the Square events get their start on Thursday. Organized by the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, Thursdays from now until early fall will hold a wide variety of shopping and activities for attendees.
Usually started in mid-May each year, this year’s market is getting a May 29 start due in part to the construction on the stretch of Highway 2 through Broken Bow.
“We just wanted to give that construction a little bit more time to progress,” said Stephanie Grafel, Executive Director of the chamber, “So it’s been great because now the construction is on the south side of the highway further away from the square, allowing more room.”
Visitors to the square will find something different each week as vendors and food trucks all have differing schedules for the upcoming months. Bakers, crafters, collectors, farmers, and several food options will be among the offering each week.
Grafel said that each week’s main hours will be 10 AM to 4 PM, with some vendors electing to stay for “after hours” availability heading into the early evening.
Those interested in being a vendor at one or several Market on the Square events are encouraged to contact the chamber at 308-872-5691.
