
An early morning fire in Litchfield ends up destroying another house.
The Litchfield and Loup City Fire Departments responded to a 7:23 am call about a structure fire at 302 Howard Street in Litchfield, with assistance from Black Hills Energy and Custer Public Power.
The fire was under control by 11:20am,

with Litchfield Fire and Rescue staying on scene through the afternoon to monitor hot spots. An attached garage was saved by the fire crews.
No people were in the home when the fire started, and two dogs were saved.
Sherman County Sheriff Joel Bergman said the fire’s cause was electrical in nature.
