Feb 15 Deadline for Incumbents to File for Election, March 1 Deadline for Non-Incumbents

CUSTER COUNTY – 2024 reigns as an election year, which means that we as Americans will get to use our right to vote.  Locally, that means that incumbents, or anyone serving on a board (schools, public power, community colleges, city, etc…) have to refile for the office they wish to hopefully be re-elected in.

Anyone who wishes to file for a position can do so by going to the Custer County Clerk’s Office and filling out a form. If you wish to file for a position, you must be a registered voter in Custer County. Filing fees are only collected if someone wants to run for an elected position. February 15 is the deadline to file for incumbents. March 1 is the deadline for non-incumbents to file.
