Expanded Facilities and New Connections Celebrated by Broken Bow Chamber

The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce hosted events celebrating expanded office space and the addition of a new chamber member Thursday Afternoon, December 11.

Broken Bow’s Edward Jones Show Off Office Improvements

The investment offices of Edward Jones Financial Advisors, Janet Loughran and Tim McCaslin, were presented with a Chamber Grow Award for a busy year of expansion and renovation at their downtown Broken Bow office.

Loughran and McCaslin head up separate, complementary offices in the same space. With McCaslin starting his business five years ago, and Loughran recently adding staff, she decided that after 40 years in the same building it was time to spruce things up.

McCaslin stated, “Edward Jones is all about looking towards the future with our clients.” But, it’s “not just the advisor, it’s the support staff we have that really makes the branch work every day. It’s about taking care of the individual client and what their goals are.”

Added Loughran, “Adding Tim to the business here five years ago, the goal for that was to continue to improve the client service for the community of Broken Bow, as well as the county. But the biggest thing was making sure that our clients were being taken care of, and providing them the services and products that best meet their needs.

With an expanding staff and sharp new office space in which to work for their clients, Broken Bow’s Edward Jones Financial Advisors are continuing to look to the future.

Loughran’s office can be contacted at 308-872-6849; McCaslin’s phone number is 308-872-7013.

River Road Outdoors Cuts Ribbon on Chamber Membership

On an astoundingly pleasant late-afternoon for mid-December, Jared Jenkins cut the ribbon signifying his business joining the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.

River Road Outdoors, located about five miles east of Callaway on the Callaway River Road, carries a range of Banks Outdoors hunting blinds, feeders and other accessories for sale. The equipment can either be picked up at the River Road site, or Jenkins will deliver and even set up the blinds and feeders if needed.

In addition, Jenkins provides guided and semi-guided hunts in the area. Primarily focused on the spring turkey season for the time being with clients from as far afield as Louisiana, Jenkins plans to expand his hunting services in the future.

“I have had a couple guys get hold of me about taking them out this winter, maybe doing some coyote hunting,” said Jenkins. “And then in the near future, within another year, we’re hoping to take in probably two to three deer hunters a year.”

The dealership for blinds and feeders was originally started by Jenkins’ parents, Randy and Vicki, who found they didn’t have the time to commit to a full time business. Jenkins took over from them about three years ago.

Growing up hunting with his dad, and continuing the tradition with his 16-year-old daughter, Jenkins finds providing hunting gear and services a natural fit, using the products he sells on the surrounding ranch land that he also manages.

Those wanting to contact Jenkins and River Road Outdoors can call 308-840-1602, or find the business on Facebook.
